As the name suggests, Ratangad means the “Jewel” of the Sahyadris, and this beautiful fort truly lives up to its name. Perched high above the Bhandardara region, Ratangad offers spectacular views of the surrounding Sahyadri ranges, valleys, and reservoirs.
The trek becomes especially enchanting during the late monsoon and post-monsoon flower season, when the surrounding grasslands and slopes come alive with colourful wildflowers and seasonal blooms.
