Nestled in the Sahyadri Hills, Bhimashankar is known for its mythological roots and scenic surroundings. It is believed that Lord Shiva took the Rudra avatar here to defeat the demon Tripurasura. The temple is also a gateway to lush forests and nature trails.
– Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga – Nashik District
Located at the source of the holy Godavari River, Trimbakeshwar stands out for its rare linga that represents Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. The temple features ancient Hemadpanthi architecture and is surrounded by spiritual energy and serene ghats.
– Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga – Aurangabad
The smallest of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Grishneshwar lies near the famous Ellora Caves. It’s dedicated to a tale of devotion by a woman named Kusuma and is constructed with red stones showcasing fine carvings.
