Itinerary :
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
Welcome to Heaven on Earth !
Upon arrival our representative will greet you at Srinagar Airport.
Later proceed Houseboat at NIGEEN Lake. On the way, have Lunch at a restaurant
Check in at the houseboat and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room.
In evening enjoy 01 hr. Shikara ride Complimentary Orientation and Meet of the Group.
Overnight stay in the Resort/ Hotel.
Day 2: Srinagar to Kargil (approx. 220 kms)
Early breakfast and Proceed for Kargil
Drive directly to Kargil Via Sonamarg. Situated at an altitude of 9000 ft.
Sonamarg – 84 Kms is also called as “The meadow of gold” has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a deep blue sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Stop at Sonamarg for Photography/tea Continue your journey towards Kargil and passing over Zojila Pass. Stop at Drass, the 2nd coldest inhabitant place in the World. Here, you visit War memorial hall and Museum also known as Vijay path.
Check in at Hotel. Overnight stay in Hotel at Kargil
Day 3: Kargil to Leh (Approx. 234 Km)
After breakfast proceed for Leh. Mulbek Chamba Statue, Proceed Via Namik La Pass 3700 Mtrs, Fotu La Pass 4100 mtrs, Lamayuru Monastery, One of the Most beautiful monastery with Moon land Views among the mountains. Later Pass the Confluence of Indus – Zanskar Rivers and the effects of Magnetic Hill Visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib and Kali Mata temple
Reach Leh in the evening. Dinner & Rest
Day 4: Leh (Sightseeing)
In the morning, Start at 10 AM
Visit Shanti Stupa, Visit Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery (Optional),
Have Lunch in Karu After Monastery visits Later Visit 3 Idiots School, A nice Sip of Tea at Sindhu Ghat. Evening Shopping / Market.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Leh To Nubra Valley Via Khardungla Pass: (140Km / 5 -6 Hours)
Early morning proceeds to Nubra Valley via the World’s Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass.
Khardung la Pass (18,380ft above sea level): It is not very often that one gets to drive on a road at an altitude of 18,380 feet. That is where Khardungla Pass, meaning the ‘Pass of Lower Castle,’ is located on the way from Leh to the Nubra Valley in Ladakh. It is the highest motorable road in the world as signs put up by the Border Roads Organization proudly proclaim.
Arrive Nubra Valley and proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can also enjoy a camel ride here (Camel ride on direct payment basis).
Nubra Valley: Popularly called the orchard of Ladakh, Nubra valley offers a graceful view of yellow and pink wild roses in summer and a carpet of wild lavender in the post monsoon season. You will definitely be overwhelmed to see the Bactrian Camels (Shaggy double hump Camel) around sand dunes.
Thereafter, check in at comfortable Camp or Hotel.
Evening at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at the camp or hotel.
Day 6: Nubra – Turtuk – Nubra 80 Kms/2-3 hours, One way.
After breakfast visit Diskit Monastery & after that drive towards Turtuk border village that sits on the crossroad of Himalayan and Karakoram ranges overlooking the Shyok river is home to the people of Balti tribe with its unique culture and tradition. Baltis are also known for their sumptuous cuisine. The village was used to be under Pakistani occupation until 1971 when India won it back in a fierce war fought against the Pakistani army. Atop the village you also get a view of Pakistani side of the border. Almost every family is divided and some of the relatives now reside on the other side of the border. You would get some of your best shots here in Turtuk. The place is also known for quality apricots and sword dance which they perform on important occasions and marriages. As someone rightly said that “only smiles are sweeter than apricot in Turtuk.” Evening back to Nubra
Day 7: Nubra Valley to Pangong Via Shayok/Warila: 150 Km / 5 -6 Hours
Morning after Breakfast proceed for Diskit Monastery.
Post the Diskit Monastery, proceed for backward journey to Pangong via Shayok/Warila.
Pangong Lake: The picturesque lake is one of the major draws of the Leh-Ladakh valley. a location of several film shootings and known for its pristine waters surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, Pangong Lake is a prime tourist attraction. The long and narrow lake lies in the neighborhood of the famous Chushul Mountains. The mirror-calm water is cold, clear and extremely salty. The lake is a breeding ground for a variety of birds. In the evening check in to your camps at Pangong Lake. Dinner and overnight stay at the camps.
Day 8: Pangong Lake to Leh (Approx. 140kms)
In the morning have breakfast at your camps in Pangong. Thereafter, proceed for your journey back to Leh.
On the way visit Thiksey Monastery & Shey Palace.
Upon your arrival in Leh, you may enjoy the evening at leisure.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9: Departure
Leave on time for Leh airport to board your flight to your Hometown with Memories for Lifetime.
