What us Kokankada Festival?
The main moto behind organizing Kokankada festival is to bring together all the trekkers/hikers, amatures and pro’s from various regions and trekking communitys of Maharashtra and also share their experiences, awareness about LTA, Basics ethics of trekking.
Highlights of the festival:
– Local Bamboo Handicrafts exhibition & sale.
– Sahyadri Photography exhibition & sale.
– Presentation of Short films & Documentaries on/in Sahyadris.
– Local Folk dances & music.
– Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj jayanti Celebration.
– Sharing of experiences by various experienced people in their respective fields.(Photography, Climbing, Trekking, Himalayan expeditions, Sahyadri, Safety techniques etc.)
Duration : 2 Days 2 Nights
Pickup points & Time:
10:30 PM: Borivali Station.
11:45 PM: Thane Majiwada Junction
Cost: 1730 Rs.

Schedule:
Day 0:
Meet us at Borivali station at 10:30 PM followed by Other pick up points.
Day 1
7.00 AM : Reach base Village. Rest for a while.
9:00 AM : Start Trek after Breakfast.
11:00 AM: Explore Harishchandreshwar Temple, Caves & Kedareshwar Shivlinga
12:30 PM: Reach at Kokankada & Lunch
1:30 PM: After Lunch Take rest.
4:30 PM : Tea Time
6:00 PM : Explore Kokankada & Enjoy Sunset
8:30 PM: Dinner
9:00 PM: Enjoy Kokankada Fest
11:00 PM : Time to sleep or bonfire, Stories etc.
Day 2:
4:30 AM: (Optional) Wake up & Start Trek to Taramati peak.
(Note:Trek to taramati peak is subject to weather conditions and is optional, you can stay at Kokankada till morning.)
6.00 AM: Reach at top of the Taramati peak and Enjoy the sunrise.
8:30 AM: Hike down to the Kokankada, Enjoy breakfast.
9:30 AM: Start trek to Base.
11:30 PM: Reach base village ,
1:30 PM : After Lunch Start return journey to Mumbai.

Special Note:
There is proper washroom & changing Room available at Base Village, but same facility would not be at Top or on campsite.

– Good quality trekking shoes
– Energetics (ex. Glucon-D)

– Ready to eat food/snacks (ex.Biscuit)

– Try to wear full track pant.
– Shawl or Sweater (To protect from cold)
– Blanket or bedding (as per your requirement)
– Sleeping Bag (Optional)
– Extra pair of cloths
Terms & Condition:
1)Kindly inform about your medical issue in advance, if any.
2) Participants will be responsible for their own belongings and health issues.
3) Avoid wearing gold or other costly jewellery.
4) Smoking and Drinking are strictly prohibited. Organisers are not going to tolerate such acts.
5) Keep in mind we are going for Trek not for trip or picnic, so maintain the discipline and follow leader’s instructions for your own safety.
6) Trek leader’s decision will be final and binding.
Save Tours (organizers) reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plan without prior notice.
