About Velas Anjarle festival :

Anjarle is a small but beautiful village near Dapoli, popularly known for its Turtle festival & virgin beach. It is an offbeat turtle festival village, less crowded and more peacefully compared to other Turtle festival destinations.
Anjarle turtle festival is a popular eco tourism festival celebrates in Anjarle and nearby beaches during the months of March to April where new born baby turtles are released back to sea safely. Visitors get opportunity to witness the whole procedure in which baby turtles take first steps of their life towards sea and then start their challenging journey of life & struggle to survive. This initiative is taken by local Villagers of Anjarle, NGOs and local government of Anjarle, which offers a great ecotourism experience for all visitors where they can enjoy Village life, authentic home stay experience and delicious local food of Anjarle.

Departure on Friday at 9:00 PM from Borivali station & then other pickups.

Itinerary:

Day 0 (Friday):
Depart from Borivali Station at 9 PM & other pickups.

Day 1 (Saturday):
06:30 AM: Reach Anjarle Village, & Immediately head out for Anjarle turtle Festival point in hope to Witness Baby turtles.
08:00 AM: Check in at Typical Village style Home Stay & Breakfast time. Time to Rest. Visit Suvarnadurg Fort. Return back to Home Stay for lunch.
04:00 PM: Freshen up & again visit the Turtle Festival point. Enjoy Back Water ride (optional) Beach along with Beautiful sunset.

Day 2 (Sunday):
06:00 AM: Visit Turtle Festival one last time hoping to see a few more turtles.
09:00 AM: Head Towards Sightseeing
10:30 AM: Visit Kadyavarcha Ganpati Temple, Shree Vyaghreshwar Temple, Keshavraaj Temple.
12:30 PM: Enroute lunch & Start Return Journey towards Mumbai.

Tips:

– Avoid heavy Luggage , suggest you to carry backpack/rucksack over heavy suitcases.

– It’s a Backpacking Trip, not a Luxury Trip; we would change few transports in based on availability.

– Basic but descent homestays will be Provided 

– Be Prepared for 2 days sightseeing in humid climate , almost it usually remains hot during the day.

Shree Vyaghreshwar Temple

Terms & Condition:

1) Kindly inform about your medical issue in advance, if any.

2) Participants will be responsible for their own belongings and health issues.

3) Avoid wearing gold or other costly jewelry.

4) Smoking and Drinking are strictly prohibited during journey or sightseeing.

5) Keep in mind we are going for Backpack, so maintain the discipline and follow leader’s instructions for your own safety.

6) Trip leader’s decision will be final and binding.

7) In case, due to some unavoidable conditions (like natural disaster, change in government or local authorities policy etc.)  the event gets cancelled before/on the event date or during trek, Tour fees will be refunded except nominal expenses which are already spent till that point.
